SPRING 2010 |

Little shoes, wood bowl holders, quilts and more from Guatemala.
Proceeds of all Guatemalan products will go to Casa Jackson, a home for malnourished kids in Antigua, Guatemala. Specifically we are raising funds for Selvin (pictured) who arrived at Casa Jackson on March 8th and this picture was taken shortly thereafter. Selvin is now 11 months old and only 11.3 lbs. He has begun to put on weight and is starting to get back on track. Selvin's malnourished state is most likely a product of poverty. But in this case, his lack of nutrition is exacerbated by a medical condition where his ribs are growing into his lungs and other organs, creating a hole in his chest. As he gets older, his condition will worsen and eventually, he won't be able to breathe. The surgical procedure to fix this problem will cost $4000.
